The Black Acrylic Tapers are worn as earrings that also helps to stretch and expand ear piercings to the next size. It has two black "O" rings on it to keep the taper in place. This taper size/thickness is 11/16 inch (18mm). For more gauge options availability, see sizing information below. These gauge/mm sizes represents the diameter of the thicker part of the cone shaped taper and is sold as a pair (2 pieces).
The Taper is use to stretch the ear lobes effectively over time. This is a cone shape type earring that expands the perforations/holes on ear lobes and gauged piercings. The thinner end of taper is inserted thru the ear piercing from front until it is fully drawn, stretching it to the gauge size intended. Then each O-ring is placed in front and back of the taper so it stays in place. Lubrication can be used to ease the insertion.
Acrylic Tapers are widely use to expand the ear gauge sizes while looking like wearing spikes on ears. These are available in variety of attractive colors, modern designs and styles.
The 14g or 12g is size use in regular ear piercing to start the gauging/stretching process.
